Boy: “HEY, WHAT’S YOUR DAD DOING?”
B: “HE’S TALKING TO MY MOM.”
Panel 2: (The boy looks confused, pointing. Cedric is smiling and signing interpreter)
Boy: “THAT’S YOUR MOM?”
Cedric: “NO, THAT’S AN INTERPRETER. MY MOM IS ON THE OTHER END OF THE PHONE.”
Panel 3: (The boy looks surprised, with his mouth open, pointing to his ear. Cedric is smugly closing his eyes, signing two)
Boy: “WOW! WHAT’S AN INTERPRETER? DO ALL DEAF PEOPLE HAVE ONE? WAS YOUR DAD BORN DEAF? IS SIGN LANG…”
Cedric: “WAIT! PLAYDATES AT MY HOUSE HAVE A TWO-QUESTION LIMIT AND YOU’VE JUST EXCEEDED IT!”
