KODA is an acronym for Kids of Deaf Adults who are under 17 years olds. In the sumer, most KODAs attend KODA camp which assists them in understanding their identity as a child who is growing up in the Deaf community. K-handshape represents, for many of them, their first language ASL and embracing that part of their identity. O is for their campfire stories they share. D is an “ILY” message from Deaf parents. A is for the wilderness adventure of camping out! KODAS! This sticker is for you whether you have been to camp or not. It is the spirit of the KODA that is represented here!
