Why FISH? It’s an ASL culture thing for FINISH TOUCH, FINISH HAVE, FINISH EXPERIENCE. We sign finish but our mouth morphemes look like FISH. This has morphed over the years into an inside joke. Sometimes we sign FISH for FINISH. Still doesn’t make sense? We encourage you to ask a Deaf person.
